Keychron K2 & K8 Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals 2022

The Keychron K8 RGB is a great keyboard for gaming. The key switches are highly reliable and can last for more than 50 million keystrokes, and it comes with a large number of macros and a great layout. For gamers who want to play on both PC and Mac, the Keychron K8 RGB will be an excellent choice. Its N-key rollover (NKRO) and hot-swap capability allows you to easily switch the switches for different keyboards. You can even switch to wired mode to connect to Windows PC with the USB Type-C connection. Check our Lenovo Legion 5 Black Friday.

RGB with a Mac

If you want to use the K8 RGB with a Mac, the default macOS layout is not optimal for most users, so you might need to purchase a set of extra keycaps. The Mac multimedia keys also have the same problem, so you need to buy an additional set of Apple media keys. This is my top pick, for its reliability, versatility, and overall value for money. The Cherry MX Brown switches are highly durable and offer an incredible tactile feedback. It’s also pretty good for general usage. I’m not sure why they didn’t include the RGB lighting, though.

Noticeable Difference

The most noticeable difference in this keyboard is that its keycaps are actually a bit larger than average. While this might be a pain for some, it does make for a more comfortable typing experience. And if you prefer the standard feel, the included keycap set is pretty good. But the real standout feature of the keyboard is that it supports double-shot keycaps, so that you can swap the original caps with the new ones without having to buy new caps.

K2 Keys

The Keychron K2 is similar to the Keychron K8, but with fewer keys and a slightly different layout. I’d recommend the K8 if you prefer a full-size keyboard, because the K2 has less keys. The K8 is also cheaper, and cheaper keyboards are usually better value. You can use the K2 as a replacement if you lose one of the K8s, so this one is probably the better pick overall.
