Focusrite Scarlett Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals 2022

Focusrite surprised us with the third generation of this scarlet series of audio interfaces. This is the best choice for beginners and most home producers. It has two mic inputs which also double as two line inputs, and it has outputs in the back for your monitors. It’s USB powered, which is great, so no power cable is needed. You know I used to use the Focusrite 2i4, which has a couple of extra outputs and MIDI interface but otherwise, it’s the same as the two the ole. Check out Ortofon 2M Black Friday Deals.

Interface

I was completely happy with the Focusrite – why for this is I think the first generation and I used it for years. I really can’t say anything bad about it. I’m going to take a quick look at the brand-new third-generation Focusrite Scarlett interface.

What’s New

Focusrite has updated the hardware interface a bit, and I love it. It’s much sleeker. They’ve made some updates in the third generation compared to the previous models, and I still hit my fingers against the knobs a bit.

I wish the volume knob were further away from the others, but otherwise, the knobs feel great. They replaced some switches with buttons which feel good as well.

Features

You can monitor your direct signal on the interface, which mixes your direct signal with your Music. When you’re tracking that way, the latency is not an issue at all. I’ve used a scarlet interface for years and using the direct monitoring feature.

I’ve been completely happy if you are monitoring your dog and you want to hear the effects that you’re applying to it. It is going to introduce some latency depending on your buffer size.

Final Words

I’ve used the Focusrite with condenser microphones using the phantom power. It’s been great; no issues at all. I’ve also recorded electric guitars and acoustic guitars. If there’s one thing that I wish Focusrite would have changed with these new interfaces, it’s the gain indicator which is still like this little halo that lights up yellow or green.

I want to change these to meters so much easier to read. All the Scarlet interfaces come with Ableton Live Lite; some excellent effects plugins buy focus to write your choice of a wonderful piano instrument and a few other great pieces of software.
