Today we are going to review the Dell 38 inch ultra. To give you guys some specs on this monitor quickly so we can put this monitor in the right state of mind, this one will not be a gaming monitor at all large because the response time is pretty bad. So I would not recommend gaming on it at all.
This is going to be more so of a Productivity monitor where you feel like you need a lot of screen space to do anything that you need to do, having many windows open at one time or if you’re really into content creation. This is an excellent monitor for content creation.
This monitor is curved IPS 38 inches big, and the resolution is 38 40 by 1600, and it runs at 60 Hertz. It is a 21 by 9 aspect ratio, but it’s slightly bigger than most of your average 34-inch 1440p ultralights.
This one does share the exact resolution and pixel density as a typical 1440p monitor. Still, it’s just extended in. It’s a little bit taller than most other 1440p monitors because it’s running at 1600 P, so you’re not quite at 4k, and you’re not getting more pixels per inch if you’re getting a little bit more resolution.
You will still match resolutions nicely with another 1440p monitor. You’ll notice that this one is like I said, a little bit taller you do have some excellent port selection on this monitor too. You have two HDMI and DisplayPort USBC and four USB ports so that you can connect a ton of devices to this monitor all at once, and you really can use this thing as your end-all-be-all for monitors. Since this monitor is a little bit older, I believe it came out in 2017 or 18. It doesn’t have many modern features, so it doesn’t have HDR or a super crazy full-array LED backlight.
